如果你是的话，你最好把你的产能留出一大块吧…… 大家都知道这个巨人有点像是在休眠，但是随着美国房地产市场现有房产销售连续22个月实现增长，美国房地产市场的复苏迹象已经非常明显了，而事情也将会发生改变。 在我们这个行业里面，对于和这些行业的超级大客户做生意，你要么爱他们，要么恨他们。从好的一方面来说：他们采购量很大，利润较低， 订单简单，产品种类少，他们让工厂运转顺利高效，让你的产能得到很好的利用，当形势变得困难的时候(销售和填补产能)，他们这种客户是非常受欢迎的。 从不那么好的一方面来讲，他们的价格低到不能用低来形容，他们对于物流，质量，沟通以及很多其他事情的要求都非常严格，很多公司都不习惯这种方式(当然坦白说我认为这些都是应该的)，大部分的中国工厂和他们打交道都很难， 他们一点都不灵活变通， 当形势好转的时候你手里有这样的客户，你有时候会问自己，按照这么低的价格给他们这么多产能到底是不是个正确的决定。 几天前有一篇文章这么说：现在home depot是不是现在世界上最重要的股票呢? 在过去的两年里面，他的股价上涨了120%， 让它成为目前道琼斯工业指数表现最好的一直股票 home depot 是美国房地产反弹的巨大受益者，美国房地产市场的回暖也被视为接下来一些年里面经济增长的关键所在， 包括20个大城市在内的房价指数在过去一年里实现了10%的增长，而房屋销售数量在过去22个月里面实现了持续攀升。 随着中国增长的变缓，巴西还远不够强，欧洲一直陷在衰退的泥塘里面，以美国房地产为引领的复苏被视为世界范围的及其重要的可供投资的主题。 要收尾的时候，我希望你不要误解了我的意思。 和这些巨头们做生意是很好的， 但是需要你能够预见并且准备好应对和他们做生意的所会带来的结果和需要承担的责任。 跟他们做事可绝对没有空间让你去犯错。 if you are, you better get ready to spare a good chunk of your capacity………. it is very well know that this giant was somewhat dormant, but now with the very evident recovery of the housing industry in america with numbers showing 22 straight months of increasing sales of existing homes things are about to change. in our industry you either love or hate doing business with these industry giant customers. on one side the good things: they buy a lot, high volume & low margin, their orders are very simple, the number of products is small, they make the manufacturing factories run smooth and efficient and use better your installed production capacity, and when things are difficult (selling tile or filling the capacity) they are very welcomed. on the bad side of things, the pricing they get is very tight for not saying low, they are very strict with compliance of logistics, quality, communication and many other things that most companies are not used to(which honestly this is okay in my opinion and the way it should be), but it gets though for most chinese manufacturers, they are not flexible at all, and when things get better and you have them as customer sometimes you ask yourself if you took the right decision in giving them all that capacity at such a low price. there was an article a few days ago that said: is home depot inc. currently the most important stock in the world now? its shares have blasted higher by 120% over the past two years, making it by far the best-performing member of the dow jones industrial average. home depot is a huge beneficiary of america’s housing rebound – which is viewed worldwide as the key source of economic growth over the next couple of years. the home-price index covering 20 big cities rose more than 10% in the past year, and the number of existing homes sold has climbed for 22 straight months. with growth somewhat slow in china and brazil far weaker and europe stuck in a recession, the u.s. housing-led recovery is considered the crucial investable growth theme in the world. 　　to end i just want to make sure that you don’t get me wrong. doing business with these giants is good, but only if you are ready to assume all the consequences and responsibilities that come along with doing so. with these companies there is absolutely no margin for error.
